(courtesy:Pbase)I had the sight of these little birdies when i went to my parents' home this October ... how i wished i had a camera to capture the scene...i wished i knew about birds better...
There is this bamboo rocking chair in the small verandah of the house.Towards afternoon i was alone in the house, while moving around cleaning up, I saw a pair of small woodpeckers - black hair spiked and bright red spreads to their eyes, flying in to sit on the backrest of the chair, i got near the window and peeped thru the window pane, they didn't seem to notice me, soon they moved away and another pair came in back and white broad striped....they were just too beautiful...it was then i noticed thre were more birds on the trees in our courtyard...wood pecker..it's so nice to know nature .. many times we do not realise how lucky we are...
I actually wrote this as comments at a blog i was visitng sometime ago....(Whoz hello!....i stoppped by to pick this up....and thanks for keeping it...)
